Three things, done properly. FieldLog is deliberately not a field-service platform and not accounting software. The narrow scope is the point — it's why the report is worth something in March.
The technician's whole job is shoot, tap, done. Everything else happens without them.
A browser, nothing to install. Everything the crew files lands here as it closes.
Customer response
The customer was sent this exact report and said this about it, at this time — and nobody has changed either since.
Filed reports cannot be edited afterwards — enforced in the database, not by policy. That's what makes the copy you send in August worth something in March.
A contractor's sequence starts with a price and ends with a bill. The evidence FieldLog already holds is what makes the invoice defensible — so the quote and the invoice live on the same job.
Line items, one tax rate you type, an expiry date. Sent as a branded PDF and a link. The customer accepts or declines on their phone; the answer is written once and you cannot author it for them.
Built from the job, with the report behind it. Once issued it is frozen — corrections are void and reissue, never an edit. Payments you receive are recorded against it.
A CSV in the Xero and QuickBooks import layouts. An export, not a live sync. You keep the accounting software you already have.
Each of these is a projection of something FieldLog already holds. None creates a record the product didn't have.
A subscription link per technician. Booked visits appear in Google, Apple or Outlook Calendar — on a phone with no FieldLog on it. Read-only and revocable. It carries the address and the visit note, never a customer's phone number, and sets no reminders of its own.
Paste your Google Business Profile review link once. When a customer answers "Yes, all good", they're offered it — at the moment they are happiest with the work, and only after a positive response.
Invoices as a CSV in the Xero or QuickBooks import layout. Download, import, done. No connection to keep alive, and no two systems disagreeing about a total.
Every report, quote and invoice has a link and a PDF. Paste it into an email, a text, a GC's portal or an insurer's claim form. The link is the authorisation — treat it like the document.
No SMS integration, and no plan for one. Your office worker's own phone can text an invite; we won't message your customers on your behalf.
Each of these is a real product. It's just not this one — and saying so lets you plan around it.
A visit is a time, a place and optionally a person. No recurrence, no routing, no capacity planning, no customer booking, no reminders.
Arrival as evidence, yes. Arrival plus departure is a running clock, and a running clock is payroll.
Materials used go on the report as text. Nothing tracks stock or knows what's on the van.
Quotes and invoices are documents. Your ledger, reconciliation and tax filing stay in the software built for them.
A customer is a name, how to reach them, and one notes box. No pipeline, no lead source, no activity feed.
We won't text your customers for you. The report link is yours to send however you like.
Set up your company free, price a quote, open a real customer report. When your crew can get on the app, you'll hear it from us first.
