The short version
CompanyCam is good software. It’s priced per seat — $29 for every person you add — so most crews end up buying four seats for twelve people, and half the jobs never get documented. We’re flat: everyone’s included. If you want project management and integrations, buy theirs. If you want your whole crew documenting every job for a third of the price, buy ours.
Why per-seat pricing is the thing that actually bites
Per-seat pricing and “document every job” pull against each other. A helper who files one report a day costs the same as a foreman who lives in the app.
So firms ration: four seats for twelve people, a shared login, foremen-only accounts. The coverage you were sold never arrives, the tool ends up half-adopted, and half-adopted is the version that gets cancelled. Flat pricing removes the decision — there is nothing to ration.

Buy theirs if…
CompanyCam is the better buy when
- You want project management around the photos
- You need integrations with an estimating or accounting suite
- Only a few named people will ever document anything
- You want a company with years of track record and a support desk

- You want proof for disputes more than you want project management

Things we do not claim to win on
Worth saying plainly, because a comparison page that claims everything is worth nothing.
- Offline. They do it on every tier, including the cheapest. We think ours is better engineered and your crew may well feel it — but it is an entry requirement in this category, not a differentiator, and anyone telling you otherwise has not looked.
- Checklists. Same. They have them.
- Track record. They have thousands of customers. We have none yet, and you would be among the first.
